You should still have a multi-prong strategy to your online advertising business, but it’s clear that most of your testing and key data gathering can safely start with Google. It is also true that completing competitive research up front, will help you position your business for several engines and advertising platforms. However, if your budget is limited, the best testing data will come from Google. Other keyword advertising can be started with 7search, abcsearch and miva - if your wallet is a little smaller/tighter at first.
