Do You Suck At Blogging? (9 Hot Strategies For Blogging Rock Stardom)

Learn How To Become A Blogger Rock Star (A Free Guide To Blogging Stardom for Beginners)

(This post will show you how to become a blogger rockstar. At the end, download the FREE blogging instructional document for your own use.)

Does any of the following sound familiar to you?

    • “I have a blog but I hardly ever get any comments.”
    • “I post everyday and yet the number of my blog hits per day I can count on one hand – and that’s on GOOD days!”
    • “Those who do visit my blog never leave comments.”
    • “I’ve taken a few important courses on blogging, but I don’t see any difference after applying a few tips”

We all know that getting the knowledge and insight on any topic we choose to pursue is important and necessary. But, when it comes to blogging, and getting it off the ground, things don’t appear to follow any standard. Or, do they?

Learn the 9 killer blogging strategies (free download) that can change the way you think about blogging forever. And, it’s important to recognize that all rockstars start with nothing. They are not made overnight. (In fact, this concept is bogus. When you think about Malcolm Gladwells “10,000 hours” you’ll know that experts are made, not born.)

So, with this in mind – let’s be clear: we all start from scratch (and, if you haven’t guessed, I’m working on mine).

And, success will vary, and over time.

Here are some sample metrics – both can have great results (if you think about it):

    #1 Two-hundred subscribers?

If you have (only) have 200 subscribers and 5,000 page views a month – and they are in close relationship with you, your business — buying from you, engaging with you – and visiting your website and reading often, that may be considered very valuable for you and the reader. It’s a success!

#2 Hundreds of Thousands of Page Views?

If you have 700,000 page views a month, large subscriber lists, multiple authors contributing to your blog and have powerful monetization strategies that make you millions, that’s a success!

Again, think about where you are, and where you want to go. And, things will progress over time. Think about “value”, “audience” and “position” first. Then, add the monetization later, if you’re just starting out. Don’t get caught up in the “other people” syndrome.

See, my blog is not big. It’s about small business and online marketing strategies that can help folks with low-budget businesses succeed online. When I receive emails and comments that have helped, it not only feels “right”, but great relationships are made. This turns visitors into customers and friends. And, I don’t sell “packages”, but opportunities for big sales from strategic consulting with high-quality, high-impact clients.

Also, realize that not all visitors are the same. Check your web analytics. For example, I can get you 1,000 visitors by tomorrow (it’s easy!) – but they will not be a ‘target audience or connection’ for you. So, it’s a waste. Don’t get sucked into the hype.

Learn how to think about “solving problems”, and you’ll be on your way. And, make it specific, actionable and targeted. For example, if you have a ‘back pain’ solution, it’s NOT for the whole world, ok?!

    About Jon Rognerud

I came to this country over 25 years ago as a musician (guitar and lead vocals). While I was playing in Los Angeles / Hollywood and working in recording studio sessions, I found a job with a technology company in Culver City. The music didn't pay the bills, but software sure did! I learned to program in several software languages and began helping people and companies with software applications and database problems.

Today, I am a full-time Internet Marketer and consultant. I published my first web page in 1995. Since I was programming using Microsoft Technology at the time, and had been for 10 years up to that point, I thought HTML (using a Netscape browser) was ridiculous. Continue Reading
